Soot-Loose Chimney & Flue Cleaner makes cleaning your chimney or flue easy. Based on a non-corrosive organic solvent, Soot-Loose dissolves the tar, soot, and creosote which has built up over time. Making the fire burn cleaner increases heater efficiency and reduces smoke emissions.

A YEARLY INSPECTION OF YOUR CHIMNEY/FLUE BY A PROFESSIONAL IS RECOMMENDED.

*Please Note: If you haven’t cleaned your chimney in a while and you suspect you may have a large build-up, please use 2 or 3 sachets for the first clean, then 1 sachet per month throughout the season to keep it clean.

Directions

1. Make a hot fire and allow it to die down to hot coals.
2. Adjust the unit, if possible, so airflow is travelling up the flue slowly.
3. Place sealed sachet of Soot-Loose on the hot coals (packet will burn during process).
4. After approx. 15-20 minutes, the process is complete.
5. Remove any loose soot from above the baffle plate before restarting the fire.

CAUTION – In the case of an open fireplace: place a guard in front of the fireplace to protect any persons, floor coverings, or furniture.

If the chimney/flue is heavily sooted, use 2 sachets in a single application.

While your heating unit is in constant use, apply Soot-Loose monthly. Your chimney should be nice and clean.
